About Me
I was born in Mount Isa (a mining town in north-west Queensland, Australia) and am the fourth of six children. We moved to Brisbane when I was a child, and that’s where I live now.
Growing up, I used to entertain my little sisters with bedtime stories and write plays for my siblings to perform. I also wrote numerous stories (which were about the standard you’d expect!) and before I finished primary school I’d decided I wanted to become an author.
After high school I chose to study creative writing. I completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Creative Writing Production) at the Queensland University of Technology, then began working as an Assistant Editor for IP Kidz, an imprint of Interactive Publications. I was the Children’s and Young Adult editor at IP for six years.
When I’m not writing stories, I enjoy reading, bushwalking, playing the piano and spending time with my family.
